The choice of embroidery thread

Select the correct type of threads for any work of embroidery is important because the color and consistency of the design and the appearance of the final product depend on the material and the type of thread used. There are a variety of embroidery thread to choose, so take your time to decide what type or combination is best for the design you have in mind. More important still, selections of cable be based on performance, Sewability, appearance of sewing and availability and cost.

Types: 1. rayon: this thread has a great splendour, and thus better design is sewn embroidery with her. Rayon yarns vary in colour combinations of two or more tissues together in such a way that they form a single filament, filament of a solid color. They are widely available, mostly in 40 standard wt and 30 wt. Although rayon is the most popular type, is not very strong due to its thinness.

2 Polyester: polyester yarn is more durable than rayon, but is not so attractive. However, this type of embroidery thread hardly shrinks or disappears, and when combined with rayon, the effect they provide is almost indistinguishable. It is also cheaper than the rayon thread.

3. cotton: cotton thread enables a wide range of voltage settings due to its consistency. It has a pleasant brightness, it is sufficiently strong (though not thinner threads above 50 WT) and normally used for embroidery machine.

4 silk: Embroidered silk thread just breaks and has its own unique and probably the best brightness. The discussions are available in several sizes, but their availability is low, so are mainly used for luxury fabrics.

5. Metallic Thread: this thread has a core wound with a sheet of metal that can be covered with an alloy of silver and color is added to this piece with a polyester film, which can also be applied as a similar. Cable is one of the most durable on the market.

6 Mylar Thread: the layers are combined in a layer, cut them into slices Mylar to create discussions. They are durable, but it can break into high speed sewing. A unique feature of color shades, which features holographic and reflects the light or color of the other surrounding objects. This increases the color and embroidery design.

7. special effect: as its name suggests, this type of thread can be used to create design different effects, as the effect of the crewel. Some special effects to change thread color under sunlight, or it can glow in the dark.

Quality assessment: 1. tensile strength: tensile thread embroidery can be tested by sawing a thread suspended by another thread and back to jumping higher line. The more fast breaks, lower the strength and the quality of this particular thread.

2. elongation: a good thread must have the right amount of stretch. A piece of thread and stretch unless it breaks. Chapter jump too fast or stretch too long.

3 Sheen: luster and the quality of brightness can be tested by studying the colour and the design of a finished product of embroidery.
